Tsimshian First Nations Treaty Society
The Tsimshian First Nations Treaty Society is comprised of five Tsimshian First Nations in northwest British Columbia:
- Kitselas
- Gitga’at
- Kitsumkalum
- Metlakatla
- Kitasoo/Xaixais
These Nations are currently working to achieve Treaty agreements with Canada and British Columbia under the BC Treaty Commission process.
The Tsimshian First Nations Treaty Society represents both Kitselas and Kitsumkalum First Nations at their respective negotiation tables, as both Nations are in Stage Five of the Treaty process.
While both Nations are negotiating their own Treaty agreements, the Nations and Treaty Teams work closely together.
