The Kitselas Treaty Team is looking for several individuals to join our Treaty Community Team on a part or full-time basis for a one-year term.
Sha-Gann [Melville (Mel) Stanley] Bevan – January 23, 1941 – October 10, 2023 Mel Bevan was born on the Kitselas Indian Reserve in 1941, at a time when being “off-reserve without a licence from the Indian Agent” was still illegal.
Kitselas Citizens are invited to attend the Province of BC and Canada’s virtual public open house for the Kitselas Treaty and Kitsumkalum Treaty. This follows an in-person open house, which took place on May 27 and was attended by members
The Kitselas Community Cookbook celebrates food, land, gathering, and culture and includes recipes from Citizens and the Treaty Team. The cookbook was delivered to Members in community for Mother’s Day 2023. It’s also available online. Download and print the book
Save the date for the next Treaty Information Session. Everyone is welcome in person for the meeting and dinner, or online! The Treaty Team will provide an update on the Constitution and Dispute Resolution process. Find meeting details here.
All community members are invited to share feedback about Draft 7 of the Kitselas Constitution. This is the first of several Constitution workshops planned for this year. Each workshop will focus on different sections of the Constitution. Time: 10 a.m.
